The film is a period drama, based on the Indian National Army set up by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the war to liberate India from the British Government which was fought on the shores of the Irrawaddy in Burma. The British Government called the soldiers of the INA “renegades and japanese stooges”, and a trial was held at the Red Fort in Delhi, which was called the Red Fort Trials of 1945. Raag Desh brings to life that epic trial which paved the way for India’s freedom.
Raag Desh Movie Review
Why Must Watch:
The film has tried to show the story before India’s full independence which is very interesting.
The film also highlights the policies of Azad Hind Fauj and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Direction and cinematography are excellent and efforts have been made to show the facts well.
Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadhu and Mohit Marwah have done their best to their characters. Also, the work of other artists is also good. The film has made a great fit according to casting.
Editing of film is quite messy and free flow can not be present.
First half is good but after the interval, the story is even more scattered and after a time it starts to be longer.
Flashback and present day can also contain enough conchulus. That’s why you have to go through a very fast time.
For those who are interested in history, the film may be the center of attraction. The rest is not for everyone Raag Desh
In the film, due to lack of focused on Subhash Chandra Bose life story the film looks incomplete.
