Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut starrer Rangoon finally hit the screens this Friday with high expectations but opened to a below average response at the box office.
Rangoon is a love triangle between film producer Rusi Bilmoria, actress Miss Julia and soldier Jamadar Nawab Malik, set in the backdrop of pre-independence India. The movie which created a lot of hype before its release with their promotions and despite it being a holiday on the occasion of Maha Shivratri could not do as it was expected on the first day.

Early estimates suggest that Rangoon has made Rs 7.5 crore on its second day. Opening day collection was not much impressive but the positive reactions from critics as well as positive word of mouth has showed the effect on the film and the film has saw a slight growth on its second day by collecting Rs. 7.5 crore.
Directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, ‘Rangoon’ which stars Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoorand Kangana Ranaut, is a period film set against the backdrop of World War II.
