Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has come out in support of Karan Johar, whose upcoming directorial venture  ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featuring Fawad Khan’,  is facing trouble after cinema owners association decided to stall the release of movies starring  Pakistani artistes.

After the meeting held on 14 of Oct, the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) had announced that they would not screen movies starring Pakistani artistes in the four states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa.

Recently Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has tweeted on support of Karan Johar as.
“The world must learn from us.. We solve all our problems by blaming it on movies and banning it..

Not only that Going one step further, Kashyap also questioned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as to why he hasn’t
 apologised for meeting the Pakistani Prime Minister the same time when Karan was shooting for ‘ADHM.’ He tweeted,
“Sir you haven’t yet said sorry for your trip to meet the Pakistani PM..
It was dec 25th. Same time KJo was shooting ADHM? Why?”

And even Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala says the decision of cinema owners association to not allow screening of films with Pakistani artistes was unfortunate and he would request them to reconsider the move as that will result in losses for Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

It’s unfortunate with Karan, that this film started two years back when the situation was different.  We are going to request all the parties, all the concerned authorities, that he is an Indian. An Indian should not suffer from the hands of another Indian,” Sajid said at an event.

Varun Dhawan, who was there at the event said he agrees with the Sajid.
“I totally agree with what Sajid sir said. I stand by him,” he said.

 

 

Also Many industry people including Om Puri, Shyam Benegal, Vikram Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt and Censor Board chief Pahalaj Nihalani have slammed the ban on the release of the film which have completed production.
